Where have I been?

BUSY!! The last month of school was crazy here. We have things planned on the weekends and now that summer break is here we run around more then ever.

Ciaara has tennis Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings... then between her softball and Noahs baseball we have games and practice Monday-Thrusday.

I am still semi-looking for a job, not only would the money be nice but I am bored while the kids are at school. But we don't know how I would be able to work and run the kids around to the sports that they love. I hope the perfect part time job will find its way to me.

Now on to Scrapping....

March 21 Sassy Sketch

Here is our sketch for March: I loved the sketch and couldn't wait to get to work, I printed some pictures and
nothing worked right for me. I was having trouble fitting two bigger pictures and then
3 smaller ones on top. I think because I scrap 8,5x11 it was just throwing me off. So I printed some more and decided to add another row of pictures. A sketch is a blueprint of course, a place to start, inspiration. Don't be afraid to make a sketch your own.
Here is what I ended up with:


I took the kids Summer Shopping yesterday and had so much fun.
We got shorts and tank tops and Ciaara got 2 skirts that are SO cute and summery.
I sure hope this weather holds out and summer is here before we know it!

Here is the layout I made following the sketch and is mostly green in color and all product is over a year old. Look at that fish brad I used, I've had that things for years! LOL

Spring is around the corner, I can feel it!
It has been so nice here, lots of sunshine and it feels warm!
The temps have been in the high 30's and its been great!

I know that it can get cold and snow still anytime.. but

for now I'm just enjoying the melting snow!

I just got over having strep and boy was I miserable!

I don't know if I've ever been that sick, I honestly didn't
get out of bed for almost 3 days. (except to go to the dr)

That never happens to me, I never get that sick.

I normally get strep about once a year but this time it

just knocked me on my butt!

I think my blog needs a make-over!!

We went to a Twins Game this weekend! The kids love going to games! I got some pretty cute pictures!

and one more just cuz its cute, I'm not sure if they were telling secrets or if Ciaara was kissing her brother. lol

In other news around here Tball starts today, soccer wraps up this week. School is done on Thursday. Its a busy week!! :D

I know, I know....I am bad at this blogging thing. I tried to update a few times during the week but kept getting side tracked.

First and Foremost Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies out there!! Nate and the kids got me a pocket camera, I've been wanting one for awhile now, I LOVE my canon its just a little big and bulky to carry around. I miss some great photo opportunities by not having it with me so I am thrilled to have gotten this: They also got me new 2 gig memory cards (one for each camera) and the movie PS I Love You. They let me sleep in and gave me lots of love all day. We were going to plant my flower garden today also but the people at the garden store said to wait because its supposed to freeze tonight and the ground is too cold.


This has been and will be our life for the next few weeks..........SOCCER!!

The kids love playing and its so fun to watch them. They both have got goals in games! This year for Noah is more "official" they have referees and line judges and everything.

Last week there was a mama bear and three cubs up in a tree down the street, it was the talk of the town. People were driving down the street all day to look at them.

No other news really to talk about, I did get some mojo back and have a few layouts to share but I'll save them for next time. I hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend and very happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Birthday Ciaara!!!

She is SIX years old!! I can't believe it!! Six years ago today I was holding a baby girl in my arms and was so happy....so happy when Noah came in with Nate's parents to meet his baby sister for the first time. I can't believe how fast time goes, I don't know how six years just flew by!

Here she is at Six years old; Beautiful, Smart, Independent, Silly and Sweet!

I'm headed to her school at noon today with birthday treats and I always let the kids pick their birthday supper and she wants KFC so we will be going to get that after school! On Saturday we had a party at home for her! My mom and step-dad came down, Nate's dad and Grandma and my sister, BIL and my niece's were here! It was a beautiful day-- about 60 degrees!! The kids played out side and we all spent some of the day outside!

She got more presents then she needed and she got MONEY and a lot of it!! She had a great day!

She doesn't like birthday cakes, she likes cupcakes so I had to put all her candles in the cupcake :)

I will make her some goodies tonight too (brownies) and she still has presents from us to open!

She will have another busy day!

I got the Blahs!

Do you ever just get the blahs? You don't feel overly happy or overly sad, you just feel blah? Thats how I feel right now. I am so sick of winter and I think that is part of the problem, I can't wait til I don't have to bundle the kids up for school, I can't wait until I can walk outside without a jacket. and did I tell its supossed to snow again? :sigh:

The kids have spring fever, they won't settle down in the house. They are just wild. I just soooo need for spring to come!!!

On a happier note, I found this Fiskars Punch at Target last weekend!! I have been waiting for it to come out and was soooo happy I found it!

And I already used it on a layout!!! Its a must have and I know people are having a hard time finding it :(

Anyways, I hope my week cheers up a little, and I hope you all have a wonderful week :D

Worst Mom Award!

If there was such a thing as the worst mom award, I may have gotten it yesterday. Yesterday was a stressful day. lol I got the kids from school and they started fighting in the car on the way home (sigh). Well as the night went on they just would not settle down, between fighting and chasing each other all over the house and screaming and fighting I was at my wits end. So after asking them to stop what seemed like a hundred times I yelled at them and put them in a time out in their rooms.

Well Ciaara comes out and hands me this note: "I stil love you wen you yul" or I still love you when you yell in case you don't understand 5 year old spelling :) Could I have felt like a worse mom? I didn't let it show of course and explained that I love her when I yell and I love her when shes naughty but I'm trying to teach her the right way. (and how cute is that note and her spelling! lol)

It was almost 50 degrees here yesterday and that felt WONDERFUL, I hope it stays warmer and we get rid of more snow!! I hope spring is peeking through!

SCRAPFREAK ROCKS!!

I spent the weekend scrapping with my friends at Scrapfreak. Scrapfreak celebrated their FIRST birthday with a BIRTHDAY BASH CROP! There was so many inspiring challenges and and games, I got all of this done:

On top of these great projects inspired by Team Freak---I won at Bingo on Friday night and get to pick a paper line from the store AND I was also the GRAND PRIZE WINNER and won a 50 DOLLAR gift card to the Scrapfreak Store, I am SOOO EXCITED!!!

Sketch This 45! I LOVED this sketch! We are going to start doing the sketches/layouts bi-weekly so Check out the site every other week for a new sketch! This is one of my favorite layouts right now-- I just love the picture! This layout was also based on a Janelle Richmond sketch.

We had a nice weekend. We went and saw our new nephew and he is precious! The kids held him and just loved it! We shopped a little and got Nate his new work clothes he needed!

I got just a few items at Archivers.

Ciaara has been home sick the last 2 days from school, she has a fever around 100 degrees and has a bad cough. So I've been busy taking care of and entertaining her.

I've been scrapping a little and have some more layouts to share. I'm hoping that will force me to post again this week, stay tuned :D

WOW!!! I'm a winner!

WOW, Check out what I won yesterday!!! I was looking at the Making Memories Blog the last few days and they were having a contests and I kept missing them by a few minutes.
I got home from getting the kids from school and the blog was up on my computer so I refreshed and it said email now for a change to win (include a phone number) and I got the call!

Oh My Goodness, I screamed and cryed a little and was so excited I was talking fast and was out of breath---- I hope they could understand me I was going 90 miles minute! lol The kids thought I was completely crazy lol

I never win anything so this was such a lift for me, things have been so crazy busy here that it just made my day, week, year!!! lol

We aren't doing much today, I haven't even got the kids a present yet. I didn't send out my Valentine cards yesterday I just plain forgot. :sigh:

Wow, its Febuary 6th! Valentines day is right around the corner. I have no idea what to get Nate--we don't go all out to get each other stuff but I do like to get him a little something or make him something, any ideas?

We have all been sick off and on, darn cold being passed around and around the house.

Things at work at so busy for Nate with the switchover, I am still helping with the bookkeeping stuff. The bookkeeper goes back to the dr today, lets cross our fingers that she gets the okay to come back this week!!!

WOW What a week!! Monday there was no school it was the end of the quarter. Luckily for us we were all home when Nate got the call at work that his Brother and Wife had their baby boy!! His name is Nicholas and he is just precious!! The kids LOVE that they have a baby cousin!

Wednesday School was canceled on Wednesday due to the severe cold weather, it was 20 below zero with a wind chill of 50 below (so it felt like 50 below zero!!!) It was CRAZY! And to think on Monday it was 45 degrees!

This is the layout I did for Sketch This #42-- Check out the sketch HERE!! Love the way this turned out and I'm so glad I took a picture of Ciaaras hockey skates. I haven't been able to get a photo of Noahs yet!



I've been squeezing in a couple other projects, I got this layout done and a couple Valentines cards.

My sister turned 30 years old today-- My litlle sister is 30! YIKES, where does the time go!
