I got the Blahs!

Do you ever just get the blahs? You don't feel overly happy or overly sad, you just feel blah? Thats how I feel right now. I am so sick of winter and I think that is part of the problem, I can't wait til I don't have to bundle the kids up for school, I can't wait until I can walk outside without a jacket. and did I tell its supossed to snow again? :sigh:

The kids have spring fever, they won't settle down in the house. They are just wild. I just soooo need for spring to come!!!

On a happier note, I found this Fiskars Punch at Target last weekend!! I have been waiting for it to come out and was soooo happy I found it!

And I already used it on a layout!!! Its a must have and I know people are having a hard time finding it :(

Anyways, I hope my week cheers up a little, and I hope you all have a wonderful week :D

Worst Mom Award!

If there was such a thing as the worst mom award, I may have gotten it yesterday. Yesterday was a stressful day. lol I got the kids from school and they started fighting in the car on the way home (sigh). Well as the night went on they just would not settle down, between fighting and chasing each other all over the house and screaming and fighting I was at my wits end. So after asking them to stop what seemed like a hundred times I yelled at them and put them in a time out in their rooms.

Well Ciaara comes out and hands me this note: "I stil love you wen you yul" or I still love you when you yell in case you don't understand 5 year old spelling :) Could I have felt like a worse mom? I didn't let it show of course and explained that I love her when I yell and I love her when shes naughty but I'm trying to teach her the right way. (and how cute is that note and her spelling! lol)

It was almost 50 degrees here yesterday and that felt WONDERFUL, I hope it stays warmer and we get rid of more snow!! I hope spring is peeking through!

SCRAPFREAK ROCKS!!

I spent the weekend scrapping with my friends at Scrapfreak. Scrapfreak celebrated their FIRST birthday with a BIRTHDAY BASH CROP! There was so many inspiring challenges and and games, I got all of this done:

Sketch This 45! I LOVED this sketch! We are going to start doing the sketches/layouts bi-weekly so Check out the site every other week for a new sketch! This is one of my favorite layouts right now-- I just love the picture! This layout was also based on a Janelle Richmond sketch.

We had a nice weekend. We went and saw our new nephew and he is precious! The kids held him and just loved it! We shopped a little and got Nate his new work clothes he needed!

I got just a few items at Archivers.

Ciaara has been home sick the last 2 days from school, she has a fever around 100 degrees and has a bad cough. So I've been busy taking care of and entertaining her.

I've been scrapping a little and have some more layouts to share. I'm hoping that will force me to post again this week, stay tuned :D

WOW!!! I'm a winner!

WOW, Check out what I won yesterday!!! I was looking at the Making Memories Blog the last few days and they were having a contests and I kept missing them by a few minutes.
I got home from getting the kids from school and the blog was up on my computer so I refreshed and it said email now for a change to win (include a phone number) and I got the call!

Oh My Goodness, I screamed and cryed a little and was so excited I was talking fast and was out of breath---- I hope they could understand me I was going 90 miles minute! lol The kids thought I was completely crazy lol

I never win anything so this was such a lift for me, things have been so crazy busy here that it just made my day, week, year!!! lol

We aren't doing much today, I haven't even got the kids a present yet. I didn't send out my Valentine cards yesterday I just plain forgot. :sigh:

Wow, its Febuary 6th! Valentines day is right around the corner. I have no idea what to get Nate--we don't go all out to get each other stuff but I do like to get him a little something or make him something, any ideas?

We have all been sick off and on, darn cold being passed around and around the house.

Things at work at so busy for Nate with the switchover, I am still helping with the bookkeeping stuff. The bookkeeper goes back to the dr today, lets cross our fingers that she gets the okay to come back this week!!!

WOW What a week!! Monday there was no school it was the end of the quarter. Luckily for us we were all home when Nate got the call at work that his Brother and Wife had their baby boy!! His name is Nicholas and he is just precious!! The kids LOVE that they have a baby cousin!

Wednesday School was canceled on Wednesday due to the severe cold weather, it was 20 below zero with a wind chill of 50 below (so it felt like 50 below zero!!!) It was CRAZY! And to think on Monday it was 45 degrees!

My sister turned 30 years old today-- My litlle sister is 30! YIKES, where does the time go!

Ciaara has been sick with a cold for the last couple weeks so I finally brought her to the Doctor on Monday, I just thought enough is enough. The Dr agreed that it had been long enough and put her on some meds and she is doing so much better. She isn't coughing much at all and she can finally breathe again.

The bad news...... I think Noah is getting it :sigh:

Nothing else to report, I got a new Scrapbooks Etc in the mail today so I am off to cuddle up and read it. Have I mentioned that its been barely above zero in days! I am so over winter!!

Ummm yeah...sometimes I forget to blog, I will think about it and then forget or open the window and just don't have anything to say. Sometimes I have a lot to say but start typing it up and then just go off track! lol

I don't have much to say today....My mom and older sister came down to visit on Thursday and Friday. That's fun, I love seeing them and staying up late with my sister. I've still been working off and on for Nate, and I have alot to catch up on this week.

It has been so cold, miserably cold. Its not even above zero today :( I keep dreaming of spring and so can't wait for it to be here.

We've had the kids up on skates the last few weeks and they are doing great, they got rid of the triangle last week and was trying it on their own. I can't find my skates so I haven't gone out with them but Daddy has!

New Year/Boy Layouts?!!

WOW, its 2008!! Where does the time go? I can remember like it was yesterday partying it up on the turn of the century! I can remember how worried everyone was about computers and such making the switch to 2000 and now here we are 8 years later!

We rang in the new year at home with Nate's dad and had a great night! The kids even made it til 1:00 in the morning. We played games and they did a toast with us at midnight with apple juice, Noah said it was one of his best nights ever.

I've done 5 layouts this new year and all of them have been with pictures of Noah!! YIKES! lol
I find girl layouts way easier so maybe I am turning over a new leaf in 2008!

There is 4 of them and the 5th one will be up on Tuesday!

Christmas!!!!

Christmas came and went super fast as always! I had so much to get done before Christmas I didn't have time for blogging or being online much. I did get my annual calendars done, I'm not sure how, but they are done and with the grandparents. I didn't have time to take pictures of them though. :(

I hope you all had as good of a Christmas as I did! We all got way to much stuff and I got some money that is burning a hole in my pocket, I can hear shopping calling my name!!! lol

The kids are going to play at a friends today and I think I am going to head to work (at Nates store)and get caught up-- I'm not looking forward to that at all.

Winter Pictures!

For the most part I hate this time of year, its so cold! You have to warm up your vehicle for 2o minutes before you go anywhere, you have to be bundled up! YUCK and its only December, usually we don't get this cold til January and February. I hope I don't have 2 more months of this.....

Occasionally though winter can surprise you! Things were so pretty here the other day.

Here is the layout I did for Sketch This 37!! Between working (yep I am still working for DH) and Christmas stuff around here I'm not getting much done but I am thankful for these sketches to keep me on track!

Sketch This 36 and Some Snow!!!

Sketch This 36!! I am having so much fun scrapping from these sketches! I was a little stretched for time this week and worrying about getting a layout done but I did it! This layout is a 8x8 for my Christmas album, I have SO many pictures from last Christmas I haven't scrapped yet! Stop on by and try the sketch and let us see your layout! SNOW!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I was so not ready for all the snow that has fallen this last week! I love years like last year with not much snow. Its just messy and shoveling is the worst! Its also been so cold, it hasn't been warmer then 20 in days! :(

Here is a quick picture of our tree, we put up all our Christmas stuff the weekend after Thanksgiving, The kids so love this time of year.

Also I haven't shared a picture of this guy in awhile---he is doing so well and I think I can say he is officially potty-trained! He is also starting to settle down a little and will just lay down and cuddle with us-- Its what we all have been waiting for!

Happy Birthday Nate and some cards!

Happy Belated Birthday to my Dear Husband Nate! He turned 31 on Monday and caught up to me now!!! :) Here is a picture I took of him and Noah 2 weeks ago when they went hunting! Happy Birthday Honey!!

Things continue to be crazy busy here! I have so much going on I feel like I can't get anything done! I can't wait until Nates bookkeeper is back so I can stop "helping out" at the store. She had to have a second knee surgery and probably won't be back until the first of the year. Its just getting in the way of things I had planned and things I could have done. A friend asked me to run to Target with her the other morning and I had to say no :(

We had a very nice Thanksgiving weekend hanging out and seeing our families! I went shopping and got TONS done for Christmas!! We came home and put up our lights outside and put our tree up!
There was no sketch on Sketch This this week because of Thanksgiving and I didn't have much time for scrapping but I wanted to share these cards I did.

Sketch This 35 and Thanksgiving!

Here is my layout for Sketch This! #35-- it is such a great sketch! I had this layout done the night I got the sketch!! The title says.... 'Not your ordinary Smile'. Noah was/is still a little self-conscious about how he looks with out teeth-- ( I never knew boys would worry about such things) So I keep getting these silly smiles!
We are headed north for Thanksgiving so I won't be around all weekend. I know I have a TON of catching up to do on your blogs---this working everyday stuff is not good on my internet time ;)

Here is my sweet SEVEN year old boy today!! I can't believe how time flys!! I can't believe you are seven years old! Happy Birthday my sweet boy! I am sooo proud of the person you are, and the person you will grow up to be-- but some days I just want to cry and tell you to SLOW DOWN!!!

Last week was so busy here!! Between working for Nates store, and me getting strep ( I was miserable) to Noah's first sleepover! It was a busy Week! Instead of a birthday party Noah wanted his first sleepover. He had a wonderful time having a friend sleep over. We took the kids to the casino arcade and then to Pizza Hut. They stayed up til 11:00!!!

I also had a great time on Saturday meeting up with some scrappy friends---Sara, Jess, Becky and La. I had a great time scrapping and hanging out with you, hope we do it again soon!! :D

Loved this weeks sketch!! I've had these pictures of Noah sitting on my desk for a couple weeks! I LOVE LOVE this paper in the Rockstar stack by DCVW!
I had a busy weekend, my mom surprised me by deciding to drive down and spend the night with me. I was so happy because Nate was out of town and I hate staying alone! I am still helping Nate out at the store, I got ALOT done today and should have fast day tomorrow! I am missing my scrapping though and have a lot to get done before Christmas.
